NASA has released a video showing how the spacecraft of the Apollo 11 spacecraft that launched in 1969 could be seen through a telescope.
The spacecraft, the Pioneer 9, is visible through a 10-inch-wide (26.2 centimeters) telescope at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, California.
It is the closest that the Pioneer spacecraft has come to Earth since it launched in January 1971.
The NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS Wide-Field Infrared Survey Explorer is part of the Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3.
The Pioneer 9 spacecraft was launched in 1971.
