A team led by a Pakistani-American researcher has claimed to have discovered alien spacecraft on a comet in the outer solar system.
In a press release published on Tuesday, the Pakistani team said they had found the craft in orbit around the comet Tempel-1, and that they had located “a large number of objects” that could be “probably related to the extraterrestrial craft”.
Their findings have been published in the journal Nature.
The team, led by Ahmed Masood, said the discovery of the object on Tempel 1 was “the first evidence that alien spacecraft have been sighted in outer solar systems”.
They said the spacecraft appeared to be a large spacecraft, but it was still unclear what kind of craft they were.
“The size of the spacecraft is difficult to determine, but its possible that it could be a lander, a robotic spacecraft, or a spacecraft in a similar shape as the ones we found in Tempel’s atmosphere,” the team said.
The group said that they would continue to search for objects in the Tempel system for possible clues to the nature of the craft.
