In the series, Mars astronauts Will and Ruth are living on a tiny planet called Jovella.

The journey starts when the two find themselves trapped on a mysterious planet, where a group of explorers are attempting to find water for their spacecraft.
After finding the water, they are attacked by an aggressive alien, who is trying to steal their ship.
Will and his crew are saved by the help of an astronaut named Pete, who helps them survive the hostile environment.
The journey to Mars was created by Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, and aired on NBC from 1966 to 1979.
